Ode to the Grasshopper

Well yesterday was a total wash....I ended up posting a painting I had done in the summer as my day 6....today I had to run in to Houston and by the time I got home there was very little time to do a painting (one I might add that I had not even thought about)...so while talking to a great friend of mine...Jerry Faulkner, a potter in Lincoln, Arkansas, she pointed out that she had always really liked the designs on grasshoppers.....sooooo.....here is day 7

Day 5....had a Doctor's appointment in Houston so I wasn't able to get to the next painting as soon as I hoped....to get away from pumpkins for a day of two I decided to do something that my Grandson Max would like....

Morning Chit Chat

Day 2 of the challenge.... I was having so much fun painting yesterday that even though I wasn't going to start my next until tonite, I had to start on it this morning. The last s challenge I did baby birds in a nest and it sold almost immediately. Today is a couple of kids out in the morning sun.

well after spending most of this year in bed with the flu I am off and running again....while in Houston for a Doctor's appointment I saw a painting I did on commission and thought I would share...hopefully now I can get creative again !!!

Spring Lamb

this is hopefully going to be a day that I can put up 2 new paintings....it was absolutely beautiful today outside...and my grandson Max and I were pleasantly surprise with 6 eggs from our chickens after a few months of almost none ! this lamb was actually sketched a couple of days ago but have had basketball games and orthodontist appointments which took up most of my time....

in our back area by our chicken coup, there is a fairy large oak tree....this year we had an abundance of acorns...so many that after a big rain you could actually walk across them and never get your feet muddy !

30 day painting challenge, Mouse and Raccoon

I think I have finally started my blog....many dry runs and posting in wrong places I hope this one does it !!! I started this because thanks to a friend of mine...+Kelly Drombrowski....I began a 30 painting is 30 days challenge on January 2.
Long story short...this is my 1st effort....it is also the 1st in the series 'All things great and small'
